George Washington, the Foyer
This portrait comes from the “America, an Unfinished Portrait” exhibition. It is made of blown glass, mirrored stainless steel, paint, and other mixed media. As you experienced in person at Meridian, the work exists in the space between painting and sculpture. It complements the beautiful environment you have created in this historic home while bringing a contemporary flair to it. That pairing is the spine of the work itself: a classical theme presented as a dynamic, contemporary experience. I think the scale is elegant and strong at the same time, and I am so pleased with how well it integrates, both aesthetically and in its narrative.

Wild Bill, the Garden Path
If the foyer is about arrival, the end of the garden path is about pause. Wild Bill is placed as something you discover: the path draws you toward him, and he rewards the walk. He is fabricated in stainless steel and bronze, perfectly suited for an outdoor, all-season environment. In the mock-up he sits at the scale of the setting, framed by the planting, so he reads as belonging to the garden. It is a “quiet, bespoke moment” (that’s what Janna said when I described it, and I thought it was such a perfect description).
